I'm finally diving in and starting to blog.  It's been 15 years of life behind the lens so I feel confident that I have things to say. This is a big deal for me because for years I've been plagued by the guilt of all those empty notebooks in a box in the basement- each of them opening with "Dear Diary, I promise to write in you every day!" and then... the sound of crickets. Why do I still have them? I have no clue.

The pandemic has given me so much time to realize the lessons that I have learned from the people I have photographed. I have witnessed people opening up, facing their insecurities, and having fun, among other things. These people are special to me. They have helped me create a sacred sort of home.

I have spent over 15 years of my life focusing and listening to other people as I captured them, and this has kept me out of my head- which as you all know, can get somewhat distorted and destructive if we stay there too long. Having said this, I want to thank each and every client who has put themselves in my hands and had me photograph them. You made my world so big. I felt your life through your eyes and because of that, I learned empathy. So Again THANK YOU!!!!  Some come to me once, some return, and some have become life long friends. Much of this blog is going to be about them.

I'm really looking forward to sharing amazing people and experiences with you. See you soon!
